Sewing Class with a Broadway Stitcher

Service Description

In this 6-week sewing course for children/teens, students will make take their sewing craft to another level. You will be learning from a teacher who both works on Broadway and has more that 25 years' experience in creating fashionable clothing. We will take a skill-building approach to sewing, such as using and modifying patterns, choosing the right fabric for the project and how to sew with knits and wovens (if sewing a garment-related project). This class is for experienced sewers only. Mrs. Viv will assess each student's ability and experience to determine appropriate projects for each individual student initially. As students' progress and gain experience, they will have input in choosing projects. Some machine and hand sewing experience is necessary. Students are required to bring their own tools to class every week. Please let us know if you need to purchase a tool kit from Mrs. Viv. Come learn from the best!! Mrs Viv will teach you the fundamentals of sewing and more. Mrs Viv is currently working for MJ the musical and has worked on the Broadway show Hamilton. Come learn from the best.
